Overview
With over 15 years of experience in electrostatic amplifier designs, the all-new 3ES (2nd generation) is our flagship electrostatic headphone amplifier. The 3ES 2nd gen features a redesigned output stage utilizing a matching quad of 300B power tubes, then output through our house-made push-pull output transformers, delivering a powerful, pure-tube sound—the ideal match for electrostatic headphones.
A newly redesigned driver stage offers two modes of operation: TUBE or HYBRID. In TUBE mode, a pair of 6SN7 driver tubes is used, delivering a warm, organic, and harmonically rich presentation with a spacious soundstage, perfect for listeners who value natural warmth and musicality. In HYBRID mode, precision transistor amplifiers are engaged, offering a faster, more dynamic response with tighter bass control and enhanced detail retrieval, ideal for those who prefer maximum clarity and accuracy. These two driver modes allow the user to conveniently choose their sound preferences. The 3ES maintains the same architecture as our flagship WA33 (2nd gen) dynamic headphones amplifier in a two-tier chassis design, where the top section is an amplifier coupled to the power supply using our internal coupling architecture (ICA) technology. Tube configuration includes two 6SN7 drivers, four 300B power output tubes, and one 5U4G rectifier tube.
